My rating: 4 of 5 stars

It’s that time of year again….February in Ontario….and I’m starting to look out at the snowy landscape and envision green and growth. My husband and I spend a lot of time watching the show “Love It or List It” and thinking about this house which is a perfect size for our family but is in a suburban neighbourhood where all of the students he teaches live in the neighbourhood. We live on a hill and our backyard is a steep slope that is essentially a blank slate. This book has so many innovative ways to make our house feel more private that I’m hoping that I can start to get some of them going and that my husband will feel more at home in our backyard, rather than on display.
