Book title: Bossypants
Author: Tina Fey
Bibliographic entry | Fey, T. (2011). Bossypants. New York, NY: Hachette Digital. |
Description | Tina Fey describes her rise to fame through humourous anecdotes. |
Reaction | Tina Fey’s autobiography is a nice addition to my collection. The first third is going to be an exemplary tale of development as students journey through Tina’s formative years. If students are interested in her professional development, as I was, then they’ll keep reading. Regardless, Tina Fey is a strong feminist role model for young women. Her descriptions of pregnancy and motherhood made me wonder if she has ever met Naomi Woolf as I think they would agree on a number of points. |

I’m so glad Alana, that you are posting book reviews with grade recommendations. While we love Tina Fey, I’d never have considered adding her to my gr. 8 classroom library. I’m on it:)

The older Tina Fey gets in her book, the bawdier her anecdotes get. I would try reading a chapter to them. Let me know what you think.
