Book recommendations for Gay Straight Alliance

This school year I have helped begin a Gay Straight Alliance (GSA) at my school.  As the school’s librarian, I am challenged to find books that will appeal to all members of our diverse community. Finding books that are appropriate and appealing to my LGBT teens, that shows their role models in a positive light, is particularly challenging.  Luckily, I’ve just found Lee Wind, who writes his blog I’m here, I’m queer, what the hell do I read? exactly what I need to know about books that suit LGBT teens.

He also tackles some of the tough questions in order to inform and educate.  In this video, recently posted on the blog, Lucy, who identifies as gender-neutral, talks about restaurant etiquette:
