Gorgeous Gruesome Faces by Linda Cheng

Gorgeous Gruesome Faces (Gorgeous Gruesome Faces, #1)Gorgeous Gruesome Faces by Linda Cheng
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

It’s like a K-pop version of V.C. Andrews. If BlackPink and Edgar Allen Poe had a love child, it might look like Gorgeous Gruesome Faces. Weirdly enough it also spotlights the same mythology as another title this yearSong of the Six Realms (which always make me want to invite both Linda Cheng and Judy I. Lin to tea just so I can hear them discuss it all!). It was a lot of fun in the first 3/4s but by the time these teen star hopefuls finally figure out the supernatural cult they’ve joined, it did get a bit long-winded. I think students will really enjoy this title especially if there are multiple copies for them to read together!
